POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Overnight Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in guiding the team during the overnight shift at our retail location. This position involves overseeing various tasks including inventory management, merchandise presentation, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. **Task Delegation:** Assign and communicate tasks to team members effectively, ensuring clarity and follow-up for successful execution.


2. **Adherence to Procedures:** Monitor compliance with all operational procedures, providing training and support as necessary to maintain high standards.


3. **Visual Merchandising:** Uphold visual presentation standards, including signage and merchandise layout, to create an inviting shopping environment.


4. **Inventory Replenishment:** Oversee the nightly restocking of sales floor items from backstock and new deliveries, ensuring product availability.


5. **Inventory Support:** Collaborate with the Inventory Control team to perform inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels.


6. **Event Coordination:** Assist management with special events, ensuring proper pricing, display, and inventory accuracy.


7. **Supervisory Duties:** Support management in fulfilling supervisory responsibilities, including training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.


8. **Team Development:** Participate in the hiring process, training, and performance appraisals to foster a service-oriented team.


9. **Break Management:** Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding breaks and lunches for overnight staff.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform any other duties as assigned to support the team and business objectives.


QUALIFICATIONS:


- **Education:** High School Diploma or Equivalent.

- **Experience:** 2-4 years of retail experience.

- **Availability:** Must be able to work overnight shifts.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


- Proficient in analyzing reports and presenting information.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.

- Capable of conducting meetings and training sessions.

- Proficient in using PC-based applications for inventory and data management.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly engage in computer work, walking, and standing. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
