Clinical Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Clinical Manager to join our team at Rhode Island Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing care and managing resources for a specific unit.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee nursing care across different age groups, taking into consideration developmental stages and cultural factors throughout the nursing process.
- Participate in quality assessment programs to evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
- Enhance unit performance through education initiatives and the adoption of new concepts and technologies.
- Lead the development of policies, procedures, and care standards to improve patient outcomes.
- Staff the unit efficiently based on patient needs and available resources.
- Document and communicate staff performance evaluations with suggestions for improvement.
- Collaborate interdisciplinarily to support staff development.
- Create staffing schedules that balance fiscal responsibility with safe patient care.
- Conduct informative staff meetings to promote a positive work environment and innovation in healthcare.
- Identify staff training needs and work with the Clinical Manager to address them.
- Resolve conflicts related to nursing care within the unit.
- Contribute to staff evaluations and development goals.
- Aid in the credentialing process and ensure compliance with unit standards.
- Participate in recruitment and retention efforts.
- Implement disciplinary actions following hospital policies.
- Develop efficient patient care pathways that guide quality and cost-effective care.
- Encourage financial awareness among staff to contribute ideas for cost savings.
- Assist in creating budgets for the unit's operations.
- Promote the implementation of new practices and technologies in nursing.
- Optimize staffing schedules to utilize personnel effectively.
- Monitor staff adherence to schedules and payroll.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure clear communication with patients and families for positive outcomes.
- Oversee operational and financial aspects in the role of Specialty Coordinator.
- Coordinate with other coordinators to introduce improvements in departmental practices.
- Maintain efficient staff utilization and communication to ensure timely care.
- Update stakeholders on schedule changes promptly and facilitate smooth operations.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
- Assign tasks based on staff experience and patient needs.
- Investigate and address personnel concerns.
- Counsel and take disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Contribute to staff hiring, training, and evaluations.
- Support policy development and maintenance.
- Actively engage with staff to build positive relationships and support their needs.
