Position Overview

The Director of Clinical Operations at The Providence Community Health Centers, Inc. plays a pivotal role in overseeing clinical operations. Reporting directly to the VP, CMO, this position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating operational systems, processes, and standards to identify areas for performance enhancement and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives aimed at problem-solving, team development, and quality enhancement to address increasing operational demands. Serve as the primary liaison for provider and operational leadership.
  • Collaborate with the AVP of Site Operations to ensure that provider-related resources and operational requirements are met promptly.
  • Manage the Account Management Portal (AMP) and oversee other operational details essential for provider recruitment and onboarding.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses including proformas, SWOT assessments, and business plans to evaluate current operations and proposed service modifications, presenting findings to Executive Leadership. Regularly assess actual performance against established proformas and develop corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Prepare forecasts and projections while analyzing productivity trends, provider staffing, and financial metrics. Recommend adjustments to provider standards based on national benchmarking.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a physician group practice administration or business analysis role within a healthcare environment. LEAN certification is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical group practice operations, financial management, physician compensation structures, and performance improvement strategies. Familiarity with industry metrics and trends is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to perform quantitative assessments of operational challenges and support decision-making processes.
