POSITION SUMMARY:

W R Systems is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to support various facets of production, storage, distribution, and material management for advanced sensor programs.

The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing material needs and coordinating with procurement, production, and storage facilities based on established priorities.
  • Estimating and effectively managing workload related to projects.
  • Establishing control over location and quantity of materials.
  • Facilitating the movement of materials, components, and finished goods from origin to final destination.
  • Executing disposition instructions as directed by project management or logistics analysis.
  • Conducting research across various databases to identify material retrieval points, sources, and disposition methods.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in logistics tracking, reporting, record management, warehousing, and material handling.
  • A minimum of five (5) years supporting government property regulations and/or defense lifecycle material management.
  • Five (5) years of experience in roles such as supervisory or warehouse lead in a Department of Defense (DoD) facility, financial oversight, and logistics support for projects involving electronic or electrical repair and installation.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs and to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) inventory management systems and methodologies.
