Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Overseeing the creation of maps and drawings.
  • Ensuring the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) of work while adhering to schedules and budgets, and providing responsive service to clients.
  • Training and mentoring field staff.
  • Coordinating the production of maps and drawings to ensure quality standards are met while adhering to budgets and timelines.
  • Managing the downloading and uploading of field data, as well as the technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms.
  • Applying knowledge of boundary law and retracement principles, along with historical survey practices and relevant statutes, to deliver final survey products.

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate's degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience in surveying.
  • 1-3 years of proficiency in AutoCAD/Microstation Civil 3D, survey computation, GPS, boundary surveys, and related areas.
  • Preferred certifications include Land Surveying Intern, Surveyor in Training, or Certified Surveying Technician.
  • Basic familiarity with field survey procedures and equipment in line with current industry standards.
  • Understanding of technical specifications related to project deliverables.
  • Experience with geomatics software such as BlueBeam Revu, ArcGIS, or Survey123.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS systems and data reliability.
  • Experience in a project-oriented service environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with ArcGIS/Survey123 is advantageous.
  • Must demonstrate responsibility, organization, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a large team of professionals and technical staff.
  • Capability to work independently and take initiative without detailed instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with Project Managers and Field Crew staff.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are required.
