YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Overseeing the creation of maps and drawings.
  • Ensuring the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) of work while adhering to schedules and budgets, and providing responsive service to clients.
  • Training and mentoring field staff.
  • Coordinating the production of maps and drawings to ensure all details are covered, maintaining quality, and meeting budgetary and scheduling requirements.
  • Managing the downloading/uploading of field data and the technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms, while communicating effectively with the project team.
  • Applying relevant boundary laws and retracement principles, along with knowledge of historical survey practices and applicable statutes to deliver final survey products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience in surveying fieldwork.
  • 1-3 years of experience with AutoCAD/Microstation Civil 3D, survey computation, and various survey types.
  • Preferred certifications include Land Surveying Intern, Surveyor in Training, or Certified Surveying Technician.
  • Basic familiarity with field survey procedures and equipment in line with current industry standards.
  • Understanding of technical specifications related to project deliverables.
  • Experience with geomatics software such as BlueBeam Revu, ArcGIS, or Google Earth.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS systems and data reliability.
  • Experience in a project-oriented service environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ArcGIS/Survey123 experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large team of professionals and technical staff.
  • Capability to work independently and take initiative without needing detailed instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with Project Managers and Field Crew staff.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are required.
