Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Overseeing the creation of maps and drawings.
- Ensuring the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) of work while adhering to schedules and budgets, and providing responsive service to clients.
- Training and mentoring field staff.
- Coordinating the production of maps and drawings to ensure quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
- Managing the downloading/uploading of field data and the technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms while communicating effectively with the project team.
- Applying relevant boundary laws and principles, as well as historical survey practices, to deliverables.
Qualifications Required:
- Associate's degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience (3 years in surveying field).
- 1-3 years of experience with AutoCAD/Microstation Civil 3D, survey computation, GPS, boundary surveys, and related areas.
- Preferred certifications: Land Surveying Intern, Surveyor in Training, Certified Surveying Technician, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of field survey procedures and equipment in line with current industry standards.
- Understanding of technical specifications related to project deliverables.
- Experience with geomatics software such as BlueBeam Revu, ArcGIS, or Google Earth.
- Familiarity with GIS systems and data reliability.
- Prior experience in a project-oriented service environment is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ArcGIS/Survey123 is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a large team of professionals and technical staff.
- Capacity to work independently and take initiative without detailed instructions.
- Effective interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with Project Managers and Field Crew staff.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are required.
