Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Overseeing the creation of maps and drawings.
  • Ensuring the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) of work while adhering to schedules and budgets, and providing responsive service to clients.
  • Training and mentoring field staff.
  • Coordinating the production of maps and drawings to ensure quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
  • Managing the downloading/uploading of field data and the technical production of maps and drawings using various software platforms while communicating effectively with the project team.
  • Applying relevant boundary laws and principles, as well as historical survey practices, to deliverables.

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate's degree in Land Surveying/Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience (3 years in surveying field).
  • 1-3 years of experience with AutoCAD/Microstation Civil 3D, survey computation, GPS, boundary surveys, and related areas.
  • Preferred certifications: Land Surveying Intern, Surveyor in Training, Certified Surveying Technician, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of field survey procedures and equipment in line with current industry standards.
  • Understanding of technical specifications related to project deliverables.
  • Experience with geomatics software such as BlueBeam Revu, ArcGIS, or Google Earth.
  • Familiarity with GIS systems and data reliability.
  • Prior experience in a project-oriented service environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ArcGIS/Survey123 is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a large team of professionals and technical staff.
  • Capacity to work independently and take initiative without detailed instructions.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with Project Managers and Field Crew staff.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are required.
