Position Summary

The Aerospace Corporation is in search of a Program Finance Manager to bolster our Advanced Technology Division. In this capacity, you will report directly to the CFO of the National Systems Group (NSG) and primarily support the General Manager of the ATD. Your role will be pivotal as a trusted financial consultant across all levels of the division, delivering essential financial data, trend analysis, and predictive insights necessary for Aerospace to fulfill its commitments to clients and achieve its objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a vital member of both the organizational and corporate management teams; serve as a key business advisor to senior leadership and organizational managers; significantly contribute to the formulation of strategic administrative plans and business processes.
  • Function as a member of the Finance organization while also being a matrixed member of the Program Planning & Control (PP&C) organization, ensuring the establishment of standardized corporate processes that facilitate management at both organizational and corporate levels.
  • Serve as the main business liaison with senior-level clients; maintain strong working relationships with customer counterparts to secure contractual authorizations and funding adjustments.
  • Implement standardized financial processes, tools, and schedules within the ATD organization, enhancing compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the development and management of financial plans and forecasts for both direct and indirect funded activities at the organizational and project levels.
  • Support strategic initiatives at both the NSG and corporate levels, providing insights to the NSG CFO and ATD General Manager regarding financial trends and performance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proactive approach to data analysis and variance assessment.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Experience in baseline management, forecasting, and cost/schedule integration techniques.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing precise reports.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be advantageous if you have:

  • An MBA, CPA, or an advanced degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
  • Prior experience in a Financial or Program Control Manager role.
  • Experience within a research or FFRDC environment.
  • Familiarity with governmental budgeting systems and practices.
