Position Summary
We are looking for a Program Finance Manager to join our Advanced Technology Division. In this capacity, you will report directly to the CFO of the National Systems Group (NSG) and primarily support the General Manager of the Advanced Technology Division. Your role will involve acting as a reliable financial consultant across all levels of the division, delivering essential financial insights, trend analyses, and predictive analytics necessary for fulfilling our value proposition to clients and achieving our organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a crucial member of the corporate management teams, providing strategic business advice to senior leadership and contributing significantly to the formulation of administrative strategic plans and business processes.
- Act as a matrixed member of the Program Planning & Control (PP&C) organization, ensuring the establishment of standardized corporate processes to enhance organizational management.
- Maintain strong working relationships with senior-level clients to secure contractual authorizations and funding adjustments, while monitoring funding and billing processes.
- Implement corporate financial processes and tools within the Advanced Technology Division, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the development and management of financial plans and forecasts for both direct and indirect funded activities, analyzing budgets and variances to inform business decisions.
- Support strategic initiatives at both the NSG and corporate levels, providing insights on financial trends and performance.
- Facilitate informed procurement and investment decisions for the General Manager.
- Assist in enhancing financial acumen among new technical managers.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a proactive approach to data analysis.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively.
- Experience in baseline management, forecasting, and cost/schedule integration techniques.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate financial reports.
- Expertise in strategic planning and deployment of finance services across diverse organizational structures.
- A current and active TS/SCI security clearance, with additional customer security requirements applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
It would be advantageous to have:
- An MBA, CPA, or advanced degree in Finance or a related field.
- Prior experience in a Financial or Program Control Manager role.
- Experience within a research or FFRDC environment.
- Familiarity with government contracting environments.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and advanced Excel skills.
