Job Title: Workers' Compensation Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Coordinator to join our team at Iowa Orthopaedic Center PC. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in managing our workers' compensation program, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our physicians, staff, case managers, adjusters, patients, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments for Work Comp injuries, including office visits and imaging, as well as 2nd opinion, transfer of care, and IME appointments.
  • Coordinate with Case Managers or Adjusters to obtain authorization, medical records, and interpreter services as needed.
  • Document all interactions, including date, time, and contact information.
  • Handle incoming phone calls from case managers, adjusters, and patients in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Track scheduled tests and ensure results are received for upcoming appointments.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in workers' compensation is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with internal staff and external customers.
  • Highly detailed-oriented with exceptional documentation skills.
