Job Overview

The role presents an excellent opportunity to become a Product Support Specialist by utilizing proprietary systems to develop, assess, and sustain our collection of electronic prior authorization (ePA) forms and workflows. This position also encompasses various responsibilities to facilitate the continuous expansion of the company's product offerings. The role demands thorough research, meticulous attention to detail, and a robust work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on electronic resources, including databases or repositories, to ascertain formulary status and prior authorization prerequisites for all medications.
  • Evaluate system enhancements in preparation for deployment while documenting software issues and communicating findings to software developers and relevant departments.
  • Engage in product design evaluations to contribute insights on functional specifications, product designs, processes, or potential challenges.
  • Utilize foundational clinical knowledge to associate prior authorization forms accurately.
  • Develop cohesive question sets based on specific inquiries provided by payers.
  • Formulate cohesive question sets using detailed information supplied by clinical personnel.
  • Design workflows within proprietary systems.
  • Adhere to privacy and security protocols, along with applicable data and security regulations.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of prescription drug reimbursement, including various insurance plan types, major medical benefits, and prior authorizations.
  • Basic knowledge of prescription medications, including administration methods, routes, dosages, forms, and drug classifications.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, web-based applications, and typing.
  • Ability to adapt and learn swiftly, especially in alignment with company policies and program procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with the capacity to perform tasks consistently.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
  • Prior experience in Specialty Pharmacy or Managed Care with a solid understanding of specialty medications and prior authorizations.
