Job Summary:

This position is responsible for patient scheduling, registration, and financial collections at the Metro Community Health Center. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
  • Create new patient accounts and maintain accurate patient information
  • Collect co-pays, payments, and balances as required by office policies
  • Enter patient payments and maintain accurate billing information
  • Check patients in and out for scheduled appointments
  • Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling needs
  • Triage calls within the department
  • Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and laws
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA required
  • Successful completion of a medical receptionist or related program or 1 year of medical office experience
Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
