Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Perinatal Special Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. As a Perinatal Special Care Unit Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage the physical and emotional needs of patients, including pain management and emotional support.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in perinatal care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • Within 90 days of hire, National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification.
  • 1 year of nursing experience.
