Promotional Strategy Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with brand teams, sales departments, and external agencies to formulate a thorough promotional strategy emphasizing effective execution and profitable returns on investment.

Strategic Planning:

  • Analyze brand and sales objectives to provide recommendations on promotional and in-store marketing budgets.
  • Communicate key objectives to the agency and work together to create a promotional plan centered on digital offerings.
  • Engage with Procurement and Legal teams to assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Establish a timeline for promotions and in-store signage that aligns with trade events and significant brand moments.
  • Coordinate with the media team on the promotional calendar and identify opportunities to enhance media support for promotions at major retailers.

Execution Management:

  • Provide comprehensive offer details to the agency for program execution, including item lists and exclusions.
  • Collaborate with the creative studio to secure necessary creative assets.
  • Monitor weekly progress to ensure alignment with goals.
  • Reconcile final redemption costs and manage budgets, addressing any discrepancies and adjusting plans as needed.

Effective Communication:

  • Keep cross-functional partners informed about programming details and updates (media, sales, brand partners).
  • Distribute monthly flow and program highlights to field sales teams to ensure awareness of upcoming initiatives.
  • Provide recaps to cross-functional partners and share insights for future programs.

Performance Measurement:

  • Develop a testing and learning framework for promotions to identify which partners, offers, and audiences yield the best returns.
  • Regularly monitor programs and implement optimizations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with finance to assess the incremental impact of promotional programs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with coupon or promotional programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred; experience in PowerPoint for data presentation is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of business experience required, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector.
