Role Responsibilities:
The Patient Registration Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for all clinic and Orthopedic Urgent Care patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and registering patients, ensuring accurate verification of medical and demographic details.
- Scheduling follow-up appointments and informing the clinical team of patient arrivals.
- Providing general support and assistance to patients and teams, along with various administrative tasks for our Revenue Cycle teams.
This position is directly engaged with patients and requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and quality care.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position with scheduled hours on weekdays.
Key Duties Include:
- Efficiently managing all aspects of Registration and Scheduling Standards, which encompasses:
- Collecting necessary medical and demographic information for patient registration and scheduling.
- Handling co-pays and payments accurately.
- Obtaining and entering insurance information correctly, adhering to all insurance and scheduling protocols for compliant billing.
- Coordinating interpreters and Qualified Rehabilitation Consultants as required.
- Preparing patient charts for the following day and distributing incoming mail and faxes.
- Communicating with teams and providers to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
- Managing the retrieval of patient records and medical imaging CDs, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
- Assisting with rescheduling patients when there are changes in provider schedules.
- Maintaining an accessible, tidy, and organized patient lobby.
- Performing various administrative tasks and other assigned duties as needed.
