Turner & Townsend Group is in search of a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee the development and design of cutting-edge retail properties.

The successful candidate will possess a robust background in retail construction projects. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, with a strong sense of urgency, capable of taking initiative and managing tasks with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance during the project initiation phase, including recommendations on various methodologies to fulfill the client's overarching goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring all details are meticulously outlined.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout all phases of the project.
  • Oversee financial management, ensuring timely client invoicing and utilizing financial systems to track project budgets.
  • Implement and monitor performance management strategies.
  • Administer the change control process effectively.
  • Facilitate the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written updates.
  • Prepare formal reports on project budget progress and other relevant metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards through rigorous quality control measures.
  • Assist in crafting proposals for new projects or modifications to existing ones.
  • Manage knowledge by ensuring that critical information and insights from each project are documented in internal databases and shared appropriately.
  • Establish robust project governance, processes, and systems to be utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct research on construction market trends across the US, including analysis of officially published data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, referring innovative ideas to the appropriate line manager.
  • Recognize and communicate quality, safety, health, and environmental concerns to the relevant line manager.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance Project Management procedures, templates, and deliverables, sharing suggestions with the appropriate line manager.
  • Support the development of new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients of Turner & Townsend.
Job Requirements:
  • Ensure projects are executed to meet the highest quality standards and are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency, capable of driving activities independently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member within the context of delivering specific commissions.
  • Exhibit experience in managing multiple stakeholders and work stream leaders.
  • Possess the ability to excel in a client-facing capacity.
  • Hold a university degree and PMP certification, ideally in a construction-related field.
  • Have a track record of working on fast-paced retail construction projects.
  • Consultancy experience is advantageous.
