Job Description

Heery, a leading project and program management firm, is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Project Manager to lead aviation projects in Los Angeles.

This is a unique opportunity to join a talented multidisciplinary team that excels in delivering high-profile projects for public sector organizations. As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of aviation projects, ensuring they meet the client's vision and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate activities and interdependencies between multiple project teams to ensure the successful delivery of aviation projects.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators for project and overall program progress, resources, budget, risks, and opportunities.
  • Communication: Collaborate and communicate with LAWA leadership and project team leaders to review progress and tackle issues as they arise.
  • Financial Management: Review contractors' direct cost payment requisitions and budget status, and prepare project status reports to recommend the release of construction funds.
  • Quality Control: Review contract drawings and specifications for completeness and general compliance with commonly accepted architectural/engineering best practices.
  • Risk Management: Prepare Construction Risk Assessment Reports and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Fifteen (15) years of full-time paid professional experience in Construction and/or a combination of Project and Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction.
  • Leadership: Five (5) of the fifteen (15) years should have full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values in excess of $20M.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aviation Experience: Aviation and terminal experience is preferred.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant Professional Licensure &/or Certifications are strongly preferred, such as PE, RA, CCM, AAAE, LEED, PMP, AICP, etc.
