Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is committed to delivering exceptional care to individuals grappling with Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders. Recognizing these disorders as chronic conditions, we tailor our treatment to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our mission is to assist individuals and their families in embarking on a journey of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing through compassionate, supportive, and evidence-based practices. Ultimately, we aim to empower individuals and their families to achieve a fulfilling life free from addiction.

We are currently in search of licensed Security Officers to ensure the safety of our premises and personnel through property patrols, surveillance monitoring, and access control.

This role is essential in creating a secure environment that fosters quality patient care.

Responsibilities include enforcing all safety and security policies and procedures related to the protection program, which is designed to safeguard personnel and prevent unauthorized access.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhance safety for staff and clients by employing preventive measures that minimize risks.
  • Ensure the security, safety, and welfare of all personnel, visitors, and the facility.
  • Secure the premises by conducting property patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, inspecting buildings, and managing access points.
  • Alert authorities by activating alarms when necessary.
  • Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies, and restraining trespassers.
  • Document incidents by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and obtaining signatures.
  • Maintain the environment by monitoring and adjusting building and equipment controls.
  • Uphold the organization's integrity and reputation by adhering to legal standards.
  • Ensure the functionality of equipment by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Comply with all company service and operational standards.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and clients.
  • Safeguard the organization's assets against theft, assault, fire, and other safety concerns.
  • Follow established procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control, internal investigations, and accident investigations.
  • Protect the organization's property and staff by ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Observe for signs of criminal activity or disorder and investigate disturbances.
  • Maintain accurate records of unusual occurrences.
  • Report any suspicious incidents in detail.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the building and perimeter.
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances, exits, and during exterior observations.
  • Supervise alarm systems or video cameras, and operate emergency detection equipment.
  • Provide first aid, CPR, Narcan, and de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Escort clients to necessary destinations outside the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Represent our agency in a professional, ethical, and positive manner when interacting with clients, staff, and visitors.
  • Assist with limited smoking processes and protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, GED Required.
  • Current valid New York State Driver's License.
  • Current New York State Security License preferred.

  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
