About the Role

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, a leading provider of cancer care, is seeking an experienced Patient Services Coordinator to join our team in Boulder. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient flow in a high-volume clinic setting.
  • Cancel or reschedule appointments as needed, notifying relevant staff and patients.
  • Arrange for patients to receive financial counseling as required.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Cover for other front office functions as needed.
  • Schedule outpatient appointments, testing, and hospital admissions as requested.
  • Obtain necessary authorizations and pre-certifications.
  • Communicate with patients about scheduled tests and potential prep work.
  • Answer incoming calls, connect callers with the correct extension, and relay messages in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Direct callers to clinical staff as necessary and perform operator functions.
  • Greet patients and visitors, obtain necessary forms, and update demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket amounts.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
