With a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital spanning over 26,000 sq ft, we are equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tools, creating a supportive environment for both our staff and clients.

Position Overview:

The Physical Rehabilitation Veterinarian plays a crucial role in delivering thorough and timely medical attention to our patients. Responsibilities include performing physical assessments, interpreting diagnostic results, and administering appropriate treatments. This position also involves maintaining precise records of all services provided and ensuring effective communication with clients and referring veterinarians regarding patient care and treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of veterinary technicians and assistants in the Physical Rehabilitation department.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation therapy plans for patients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures within the department.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training for interns and externs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon.
  • Experience in physical rehabilitation and general veterinary practice is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking throughout the day.
  • Willingness to work in an environment with exposure to animal sounds and medical procedures.
