Our facility is designed to provide an exceptional experience for both our patients and their owners, featuring a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital that spans over 26,000 sq. ft. We offer a wide range of services including dermatology, internal medicine, medical oncology, neurology, surgery, physical rehabilitation, ophthalmology, emergency, and urgent care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients, including performing physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Maintain precise records of all medical services provided and ensure effective communication with clients and referring veterinarians regarding patient care and treatment plans.
- Lead and mentor a team of veterinary technicians and assistants, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Engage in the promotion of the practice and contribute to the educational development of interns and externs.
Essential Functions:
Leadership:
- Collaborate with colleagues to cultivate a positive work atmosphere that prioritizes the needs of patients and their owners.
- Provide guidance and coaching to the emergency service team, enhancing workflow processes for optimal patient outcomes.
- Facilitate open communication among team members and clients, ensuring clarity in all interactions.
Operational Duties:
- Record patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
- Administer and interpret laboratory tests, radiographic images, and other diagnostic data.
- Implement therapeutic measures necessary for medical and surgical treatments while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Ensure timely communication with clients regarding their pets' status and treatment options.
- Participate in continuing education initiatives to enhance both technical and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Oregon.
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
