Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for executing all front desk operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and handling phone inquiries. Strong customer service skills are essential, and prior hotel experience is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and reception support to management and staff.
  • Handle phone inquiries and provide general information to callers.
  • Manage walk-in traffic; greet customers warmly and assist with sign-in procedures.
  • Register guests and allocate rooms accordingly.
  • Offer room rate quotes and promote additional services when appropriate.
  • Coordinate activities between the Front Desk and Housekeeping Department.
  • Ensure accurate posting of charges and credits to guest accounts, and collect payments as necessary.
  • Maintain accountability for cash and cash equivalents, balancing at the start and end of each shift.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints within the scope of authority, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Monitor safety issues and report them to management promptly.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma preferred; candidates must be at least 16 years old.
  • Proficient clerical skills, including typing, filing, and operating office machinery.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and manage multiple priorities.
  • Capability to organize and coordinate reservation schedules.
  • Strong interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to move about the facility to complete tasks, including frequent transitions between locations.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing of weights up to 25 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and navigate stairs regularly.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and monitor phone activity for prolonged durations.
  • Adaptability to varying indoor and outdoor temperatures.
  • Proficient reading and writing skills in English.
  • Clear verbal communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential for fulfilling job responsibilities.

  • Standard office equipment, including computers, phone systems, and copiers.
  • Reservation and POS systems.
