Job Summary

Hart Medical Equipment is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coordinator to join our team. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and interview patients to determine their appliance needs and identify factors that could affect appliance fit.
  • Fitting, testing, and evaluating devices on patients, making adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort.
  • Instructing patients in the use and care of orthoses.
  • Maintaining patient records and experience with HDMS, Inventory Management & Purchasing.
  • Verifying insurance benefits and identifying, developing, and retaining key referral sources.
  • Maintaining knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a genuine care and concern for patients and their families.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • College degree in an allied health field or other related area preferred.
  • Basic Anatomy and Medical Terminology.
  • Strong background in patient care and customer relations.
  • Familiarity with payer source requirements and legal aspects preferred.
Work Environment

The Clinical Coordinator will work in a Medical Building, Physicians office, or DME retail setting, requiring the ability to drive in all seasons.

Training and Development

The Clinical Coordinator will receive orientation and selected courses, with the culmination of training preparing the individual to sit for the ABC Certified Fitter examination and apply to become a Certified Fitter of Orthotics.
