Role Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering optimal care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include coordinating care across the patient continuum, which involves communication with patients regarding their health and medication changes, organizing prescriptions, filling medication orders in adherence packaging, and collaborating with pharmacists to enhance medication regimens.
Key Duties Include:
- Representing Mosaic to our members via phone, ensuring exceptional customer service and meticulous attention to detail.
- Addressing routine inquiries from patients about health plan drug coverage, pricing, and related concerns.
- Identifying instances where patients should consult with a pharmacist and appropriately directing them.
- Assisting pharmacists in prescription filling, as permitted by state regulations.
- Processing third-party claims in accordance with patients' drug plans.
- Communicating with insurance companies and/or PBMs to resolve claims-related issues.
- Operating automated packaging machinery for pre-sorting, packaging, and restocking medications.
- Managing inventory by ordering and stocking drugs and supplies, assembling items for clinical departments, and maintaining crash carts.
- Packing and shipping orders nationwide.
- Ensuring a safe and clean pharmacy environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
- Active Virginia pharmacy technician license is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
- Experience with retail, mail order, or LTC pharmacy data entry and dispensing software is preferred.
- Familiarity with Parata or other pharmacy automation systems is a plus.
