About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rebar Fabricator to join our team on the 2nd shift. As a Rebar Fabricator, you will be responsible for operating production machines, loading and unloading stock material, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend training on applicable equipment and perform additional duties as needed
  • Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture
  • Cross-train on multiple machines and operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.
Requirements
  • Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions, including heat and cold weather
  • Able and willing to cross-train as required
  • Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
  • Possess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habits
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to find root causes for issues
  • Ability to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervision
  • Able to work overtime as business requires
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, and work outside under all weather conditions when needed
  • Must be able to read technical documents and service manuals
  • Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial field
  • Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form, are necessary to be successful in this role
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in a heavy industrial environment is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned, for emergency situations
  • Must possess a work ethic and ability to be punctual
  • Stand for long periods of time
Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is preferred
