About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Steel Fabrication Specialist, you will play a critical role in the production of steel products, working with heavy industrial equipment and collaborating with a team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend training sessions to learn about new equipment and technologies
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the team
  • Assist in loading and unloading fabricated rebar on trailers and stock material from trailers
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
  • Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Participate in the company's safety programs and uphold the company's safety culture
  • Cross-train on multiple machines to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Operate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklifts, threaders, forging machines, welders, and other equipment

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures
  • Willingness to cross-train and adapt to new equipment and technologies
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safe working habits
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate fabrication machines safely and efficiently
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to read technical documents and service manuals
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial field
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a heavy industrial environment
