BHS Corrugated & Robotics is seeking a highly skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team in a key role that will drive the creation, publication, and maintenance of technical documentation for our corrugated industry solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Curation and Publishing: Review and curate content submitted by regional technicians, verified by subject matter experts, with a focus on technical content needed to install, service, and upgrade corrugators.
  • Documentation Development and Update: Collaborate with functional teams to develop and update current technical documentation utilized by our technician community.
  • Documentation Enhancement: Identify opportunities to expand and enhance the quality of technical documents with optimal media.
  • Documentation Gaps and Resolution: Consult with training and functional teams to identify documentation gaps and resolve them with regional and headquarters content knowledge owners.
  • Training Management System Administration: Assist in the administration and maintenance of the training management system and associated records of course attendance and completion.
  • Metadata Alignment: Identify and align all relevant metadata to digital resources are directly accessible for technicians.
  • Service Express Content Management: Administer the Service Express content management system and own the system and functions for the region.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in technical writing, organizational development, or another curation or data management-related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of documentation development tools, as well as content management system administration.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are a must. Ability to successfully interact and understand technical concepts and processes.
  • Project Management: Project management skills and focus that assure milestones/goals are met, adhering to established timelines.
  • Guidance and Training: Proficiency in guiding employees through technical products and processes.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and sit at a desk for 8 hours a day.
  • Travel: 10 – 20% travel to BHS sites domestically as well as some international travel to our parent in Germany.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft products, like Teams and SharePoint and other potential documentation and content management resources.

  • Salary: The salary range offered for this position is $70k - $80k per year.
