Job Title: Technical Field Support Specialist

Corning Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Technical Field Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Field Support Specialist, you will provide after-sales product training, new product introduction, and in-field product support to customers in the optical communications industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers in the field, including product training and new product introduction.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide support during standardization processes.
  • Collect and report competitive information to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Document product usage and trends in customer locations.
  • Support field trials during product evaluations.
  • Assist sales teams with presentations and trade shows as required.
  • Adhere to budgetary constraints and document all expenses.
  • Embody the quality policies of Corning Optical Communications to all internal and external customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the telephony industry or equivalent technical training/support field.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage to completion.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects and manage to completion on time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Traveling experience.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Corning Optical Communications products.
