Key Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of pharmacy operations and the supervision of pharmacy staff. Key duties include:
  • Overseeing pharmacy and operational functions to guarantee effective service delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards, along with current regulations from the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Providing and supervising compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services as prescribed by authorized medical personnel.
  • Maintaining adherence to all licensing and operational standards set by local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Accurately preparing prescriptions, solutions, and medications in a timely manner.
  • Conducting thorough assessments of patient, drug, and disease information to identify and address potential drug-related issues.
  • Updating and managing the patient's care plan as necessary.
  • Preparing formulations for medications and ensuring the accuracy of these preparations; overseeing the work of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns.
  • Participating in the management of controlled substances, including their preparation, distribution, and security.
  • Collaborating with physicians and referral sources as needed.
  • Serving as a drug information resource for the sales team and engaging in sales support activities.
  • Maintaining an on-call schedule for pharmacists and providing coverage as required.
  • Executing all managerial responsibilities for direct reports, including recruitment, training, conducting meetings, addressing performance issues, and payroll approval.

Work Schedule:

Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with on-call availability as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy or home infusion is essential.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree is required.
  • Must hold applicable state licensure in good standing.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Pharmacist, with a focus on direct compounding preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
