Soleo Health is in search of a Pharmacy Manager (PIC) to oversee our Home Infusion Specialty Pharmacy. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of pharmacy operations and the professional development of our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the pharmacy and operational functions to guarantee optimal performance.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 standards, alongside current State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Supervise the compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services as prescribed by authorized medical personnel, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Accurately prepare prescriptions, solutions, and medications in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient, drug, and disease information to identify and address potential drug-related issues.
- Develop and update patient care plans as necessary.
- Prepare formulations for medications and verify the accuracy of preparations; may oversee the work of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns.
- Manage the preparation, distribution, security, and maintenance of controlled substances.
- Collaborate with physicians and referral sources as needed.
- Serve as a drug information resource for the sales team and engage in sales support activities.
- Participate in the on-call schedule for pharmacists and provide coverage as required.
- Complete managerial tasks for direct reports, including hiring, training, conducting meetings, addressing performance concerns, and approving payroll.
Work Schedule:
Typical business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call availability as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in specialty pharmacy or home infusion is essential.
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree is required.
- Must hold applicable state licensure in good standing.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Pharmacist, with a preference for direct compounding experience.
- Strong customer service skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
