Key Responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of pharmacy operations and staff performance. Duties include:
  • Overseeing pharmacy operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Understanding and applying USP 797 and USP 800 standards along with state pharmacy regulations.
  • Providing oversight for compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services.
  • Ensuring all pharmacy practices meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately preparing prescriptions and medications in a timely manner.
  • Conducting assessments to identify and address drug-related issues.
  • Developing and updating patient care plans.
  • Supervising the preparation of medications and formulations, ensuring accuracy.
  • Managing controlled substances and maintaining security protocols.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers and acting as a drug information resource.
  • Participating in on-call schedules and covering shifts as necessary.
  • Performing managerial duties including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Work Schedule:

Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with on-call availability as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy or home infusion is essential.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree required.
  • Valid state pharmacy license in good standing.
  • A minimum of 7 years of pharmacist experience, with a focus on compounding.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
