Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Production Planning and Control Specialist to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a Scheduler and Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the various elements of program planning, including the release of purchase orders, monitoring engineering changes, and creating/updating bills of material.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee program planning, including release of purchase orders and monitoring engineering changes
  • Responsible for creating/updating bills of material
  • Monitor production schedules from various manufacturing centers
  • Work outside of normal operating hours may be required
  • Fill the requirement for a Factory Operations Manufacturing or Make Planner in one of four Production Operations Centers
  • Schedule and integrity of the MRP system for all assigned assemblies
  • Status and reporting of manufacturing build
  • Effective management of kit issues and fulfillment of hardware needs to support manufacturing build
  • Effective factory implementation and cut-in of engineering and process changes
  • Prioritization of work flow in partnership with manufacturing supervision and industrial engineering team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, plus 2+ years of related professional level experience or Masters degree with no education or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Past experience with Make and Buy Planning, manufacturing and/or Make Planning experience
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs
  • Very good organization and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
  • Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance after accepting an offer and before starting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree from an accredited college in the field such as supply chain management, operations management, or have business SAP ERP experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business
  • Inventory Control and material handling knowledge, including familiarity with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas
  • Interest in and ability to obtain Green belt certification
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists
  • ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
