Job Overview

LockNet is in search of a skilled Locksmith and Access Control Specialist to enhance our operations by executing assigned commercial service requests related to locksmithing and access control hardware installations at various client sites.

This role necessitates travel to commercial properties, hands-on installations on both interior and exterior doorways, and the capacity to obtain security clearances. Candidates should be prepared for occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday responsibilities.

Your contributions will be vital through:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills

  • Outstanding time management, prioritization, and organizational capabilities
  • Exhibiting professionalism, discretion, and trustworthiness with sensitive information while maintaining a cohesive and professional rapport with the team and clients.
  • Safely utilizing a range of tools and equipment, including key cutting machines, hand tools, and power tools (drills, grinders, saws, chisels, multimeters, etc.) to complete service requests.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Basic locksmithing tasks (repairing/replacing lever sets, panic bars, closers, lock picking, etc.)
  • Re-keying cylinders/cores and the ability to cut keys by code
  • Installing and/or repairing access control hardware (including electric strikes, automatic operators, electrified locks, mag locks, etc.)
  • Adhering to and fulfilling customer-specific requirements (IVR, documentation, check-in/check-out procedures, etc.)
  • Diagnosing field issues and effectively communicating necessary products or repairs

Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in locksmithing and/or access control. Applications lacking this minimum experience will not be considered.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Understanding of life safety, fire, and ADA code requirements
  • Ability to interpret instructions, floor plans, diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong commitment to safety practices (including appropriate PPE usage and proper ladder handling, as well as working with electrical and environmental hazards)
  • Proficiency with computers and mobile devices for data entry and communication
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and concisely

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AAADM Certification
  • Experience in hollow metal door and frame installation and service
  • Experience in safe opening, repair, and bank lock services
  • Experience in aluminum storefront installation and repair
