Position Overview:

The Sales Associate is vital to the daily operations of the store, concentrating on customer interaction, store efficiency, and upholding merchandising standards. This role is perfect for confident individuals who find fulfillment in genuine, engaging, and inspiring exchanges with customers. Sales Associates are empowered to prioritize customer needs and are enthusiastic about promoting brand loyalty and enhancing the store's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Experience:

  • Embodies the brand by wearing its products and demonstrating a passion for Lee and Wrangler merchandise.
  • Welcomes every customer.
  • Actively interacts with customers on the sales floor by posing open-ended questions.
  • Assists customers in the fitting area.
  • Recommends the most suitable products to meet customer needs.

Operational Excellence:

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Responds promptly to any customer or associate injuries and reports them to the manager on duty.

Visual Presentation:

  • Complies with visual merchandising guidelines for the store.

Store Environment:

  • Respects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of others, upholding the values and integrity of Kontoor Brands.

Job Requirements:

  • Maintains a positive demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Previous experience in retail or service-oriented roles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team to achieve sales targets.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with customers.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Essential Functions:

  • Operates office equipment and technology (e.g., cash registers, computers, phones, scanners).
  • Capable of standing for scheduled shifts of up to 8 hours.
  • Engages in walking and moving to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and maintain store organization.
  • Ability to lift and carry items, regularly maneuvering up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Can push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking purposes.
  • Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Occasional manual labor is required for assembling displays and rearranging store layout.
  • Vision to accurately read labels and assist customers with attention to detail.
  • Skilled in fine manipulation and grasping to sort and organize clothing (e.g., hanging, folding, organizing by color/size).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation Range: $11.00 (or minimum wage) - $15.00/hour for all states except New York and Colorado, where the rate is $15.50/hour.
