Key Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer specializing in Utility Operations to contribute to our Cyber Mission sector. In this role, you will provide essential systems engineering support for a significant enterprise-wide engineering initiative within the Intelligence Community. This position requires a commitment of 1880 hours annually, with work conducted at a designated customer site.

As a Cloud Systems Engineer, your primary focus will be to deliver engineering solutions that fulfill the necessary capabilities for cloud computing, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and other current and emerging computing infrastructures. Your tasks will include:
  • Developing comprehensive bills of materials, network schematics, rack layouts, cable run lists, build documentation, and other necessary materials for both new and updated installations.
  • Collaborating with network, storage, and server teams to devise innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Responding to requests for new MUC and VDI systems, ensuring designs align with capacity and user specifications, while assessing power, space, cooling, and funding requirements.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may substitute for two years of experience, while a high school diploma or GED with 24 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
  • Proficiency in deconstructing complex problems, formulating technical strategies, creating actionable plans, and monitoring progress against established benchmarks to resolve technical issues and fulfill customer needs.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in requirements gathering, design synthesis, and systems architecture.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively to achieve tasks within defined constraints.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and other cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, evaluate testing outcomes, and report on the health status of activities to ensure the compatibility and reliability of enterprise and mission systems.
Selected candidates will undergo a government security review and must meet the eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
