Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Utility Cloud Support Systems Engineer to contribute to our Cyber Mission business unit. This role involves providing essential systems engineering solutions to fulfill the necessary capabilities for cloud computing, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and other current and future computing environments. The position entails creating comprehensive documentation such as bills of materials, network designs, rack elevations, and cable run lists for both new and updated installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with network, storage, and server teams to devise innovative solutions for complex challenges.
  • Respond to requests for new MUC and VDI systems, ensuring designs meet capacity and user requirements.
  • Assess and determine the necessary power, space, cooling, and funding to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may substitute for two years of experience, while a high school diploma or GED with 24 years of systems engineering experience is also acceptable.
  • Proficient in deconstructing complex problem spaces, formulating technical strategies, and tracking progress against established baselines to resolve technical challenges.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in requirements gathering, design synthesis, and system design.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively to complete tasks within defined constraints.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and other cloud-based technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk analysis, evaluate test results, and report on the health status of activities to ensure compatibility and health of enterprise and mission.
