Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Utility Cloud Support Systems Engineer to contribute to our Cyber Mission business unit. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This position entails providing system engineering solutions tailored to meet the essential capabilities for cloud services, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and other current and future computing infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including bills of materials, network designs, rack elevations, cable run lists, and build books for both new and updated installations.
  • Collaborate with network, storage, and server teams to define innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Respond to requests for new MUC and VDI systems, ensuring designs align with capacity and user requirements.
  • Assess and determine necessary power, space, cooling, and funding to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may substitute for two years of experience, while a high school diploma or GED with 24 years of experience is also acceptable.
  • Proven ability to deconstruct complex problem spaces, formulate technical strategies, and track progress against established baselines to meet customer expectations.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in requirements gathering, design synthesis, and system design.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to complete tasks within defined constraints.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and other cloud-based technologies.
  • Demonstrated capability in risk analysis, evaluating test results, and reporting on the health status of activities to ensure compatibility with enterprise and mission objectives.

Compensation

The typical salary range for this position is $190,000 - $304,000, reflecting experience and other relevant factors.
