Position Overview:
As a crucial member of the Field Property Claims Team, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service by utilizing your investigative and negotiation abilities to address a diverse range of homeowner claims in a dynamic, detail-focused, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site investigations to assess coverage and manage all aspects of Property Loss claims of moderate to high complexity.
- Handle claims with varying degrees of complexity with minimal supervision.
- Evaluate and resolve intricate coverage and damage issues, including preparing comprehensive repair estimates for covered damages.
- Clarify coverage details to policyholders, assisting with damage itemization, emergency repairs, and additional living arrangements.
- Collaborate with various vendor services, including contractors and emergency repair teams.
- Identify and report suspicious claims, referring to Special Investigations Unit (SIU) as necessary.
- Be available for catastrophe duty as required.
Qualifications:
This position may be suitable for you if you possess:
- A solid understanding of claims handling processes and operations.
- Knowledge of building construction principles.
- A proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong negotiation capabilities.
- The ability to manage your workload independently while exercising sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and analytical skills.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with at least two years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain necessary licensing as required.
