Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Meat Clerk, you will play a vital role in one of our most frequented departments. Your primary duties will include:
  • Cutting, preparing, and packaging a variety of meat and seafood products.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and addressing customer inquiries and special requests.
  • Ensuring compliance with safe food handling practices and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
  • Receiving, storing, and managing inventory of fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry.
  • Conducting quality checks on products in storage and implementing rotation practices to maintain freshness.
  • Assisting customers in locating products and providing information on weekly promotions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area, adhering to our operational standards.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, preferably in a grocery retail environment focused on meat department operations.
  • Exhibit a friendly demeanor and a positive attitude while interacting with customers.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations as well as company policies.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy products as required.
