Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will play a vital role in one of our most popular departments. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Cutting, preparing, and packaging a variety of meat and seafood products for daily operations.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service while assisting shoppers with inquiries and special requests.
  • Practicing safe food handling procedures and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
  • Receiving, storing, and grinding meats, as well as unloading and transporting fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry.
  • Counting and weighing incoming products, ensuring accuracy against invoices.
  • Regularly examining and rotating meats in storage to maintain freshness.
  • Adhering to all procedural guidelines set by the Meat Department.

Qualifications:
To excel as a Senior Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably with 2-3 years in grocery retail within the meat department.
  • Dependability and reliability, with a willingness to perform related duties as assigned.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude when interacting with customers.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
