Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Activity Coordinator to join our team at Senior Living Communities. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities and programs for our residents, promoting a sense of community and socialization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a variety of activities and programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional events.
- Collaborate with local organizations, non-profit groups, and educational institutions to identify opportunities for residents to share their talents and participate in volunteer work.
- Design and publish professional written communications to promote programs, educate residents and families, and share examples of community engagement.
- Monitor resident participation in programs and evaluate their appeal, making adjustments to the calendar or events as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with active aging and generational trends to continuously enhance community engagement initiatives.
- Participate in best practices calls and share successful activity blueprints with team members.
- Partner with team members, residents, and home office staff to deliver engaging and informative orientation and in-service training programs.
- High school graduation or equivalent required.
- CPR and AED certification required (must be attained within the first 60 days of employment).
- Activities certification desired.
- Four-year college or university degree in Recreation Therapy or a similar field desired.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- May be required to stand, walk, reach, and water walk.
- An individual in this position is often required to read, write, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and/or hear.
- An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 25 lbs.
- Must be free of diseases that can be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilities during the stage of communicability unless the associate can be given duties that minimize the likelihood of transmission.
- May be exposed to minimal to moderate noise and exposure to blood and/or body fluids. Also may experience traumatic situations including psychiatric and deceased residents.
