Position Overview

The role involves assisting with the daily operations of a medical clinic and/or procedure suite, which includes welcoming patients, taking vital signs, aiding patients in preparation for procedures, facilitating discharges, and coordinating transportation for patients. You will engage with patients, staff, hospital personnel, and other professionals to enhance patient satisfaction and ensure the quality of health information management. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding patient care while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all necessary documentation, including initial consultations, lab slips, and reports, are ready for the physician before patient appointments.
  • Prepare the dressing room, procedure room, and equipment for each patient.
  • Welcome patients and guide them to the appropriate areas.
  • Review and update patient histories as necessary; record vital signs in the system.
  • Conduct urine toxicity screenings.
  • Monitor and document vital signs accurately.
  • Retrieve lab results and patient files as needed.
  • Answer phone inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Set up for in-office injections, including various nerve blocks.
  • Assist the physician during procedures and monitor patients in recovery.
  • Ensure all services are delivered in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Conduct reminder calls for upcoming procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures in all departmental activities.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of patient information in compliance with regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service focus.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with physicians, administration, and staff.
Education & Experience
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program or certification as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Preferred experience of 2 years in a pain management setting, either inpatient or outpatient.
