Catering Staff Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Catering Staff member to join our team at Restaurant Associates. As a Catering Staff member, you will be responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules to ensure all functions are delivered, served, and cleared in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders.
  • Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements and address last-minute changes.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items.
  • Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions.
  • Help staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
