Job Summary

Catering Sales Manager/Account Executive

This role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all internal and external catering events. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for menu development, costing, and marketing functions related to the catering department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development and Costing: Develop and implement menus that meet client requirements and ensure cost control.
  • Event Coordination: Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all catering events.
  • Sales and Financials: Manage sales financials, including proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and develop managers, and ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Client Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Operational Management: Ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are followed, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of five to eight years of experience in the hospitality industry, including three years in catering sales.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of current food trends, fine dining points of service, and A/V equipment setup and breakdown.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of meeting sales goals, supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write menu proposals and create reports.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the catering industry, including current trends and best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Client Relationship Building: Excellent client relationship building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Operational Management: Strong operational management skills, with the ability to ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
