Director of Catering Sales and Service

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Catering Sales and Service to join our team at The Ned DC. As a key member of our Catering, Events and Service team, you will be responsible for directing and organizing the sales and operations of the Catering & Events departments to establish the standards of food and beverage sales, quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and organize the sales and operations of the Catering & Events departments
  • Responsible for direct supervision of the Event and Sales Managers and the execution of all event functions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the departments service guidelines, training, standards of operations, equipment par levels, and event set-up specifications
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Comply with company standards for sales and marketing, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and Executive Committee

Requirements:
  • At least 2 years experience managing banquets & catering sales teams in the hotel sector
  • Extensive experience in event operations and management, including excellent front and back of house communication
  • Extensive understanding of budgeting, forecasting, labor & cost margin management and ability to explain any variances
