Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse operations, ensuring that we meet our customer's expectations and maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and inventory control, to ensure that warehouse operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling merchandise, and maintaining inventory.
  • Ensure that warehouse operations are compliant with standard work instructions (SWI) and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans to improve warehouse performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and executing strategy and annual plans, including budgeting, operational performance, and SOPs.
  • Experience with continuous improvement quality processes, such as Six Sigma and/or LEAN.
  • Experience managing, training, and developing people in operation roles.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to lead discussions, make presentations, and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility.
  • Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
