Warehouse Operations Manager

As a pivotal member of our leadership team, the Warehouse Operations Manager will collaborate closely with the General Manager to formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within a large-scale warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members, providing constructive performance feedback to drive productivity and effectiveness.
  • Assist in setting and achieving performance benchmarks (KPIs) and contribute to strategic planning efforts.
  • Direct warehouse operations, including labor and production planning, to optimize workflow.
  • Work in partnership with maintenance and inventory management teams to achieve service and productivity targets.
  • Establish and enforce operational protocols for the verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, merchandise handling, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the operations team.
  • Support initiatives to guarantee the proper handling and distribution of food safety and quality, as well as employee health and safety.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Act as a backup to the General Manager when necessary.
  • Maintain customer relationships as directed by the General Manager.
  • Engage in marketing and sales initiatives, including strategizing for new accounts, conducting sales calls, and negotiating contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years in Operations Management within Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing strategic plans, including budget management and operational performance.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or LEAN.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and develop personnel in operational roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a comfort level in navigating ambiguity.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions and lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
