Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our Development Department at OMSI - Oregon Museum of Science & Industry. The successful candidate will provide administrative and office management support for the VP of Development and the Development Team, ensuring the smooth operation of our fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide scheduling support for the VP of Development and Development Directors, manage online portals, and maintain accurate records.
  • Donor Stewardship: Provide excellent customer service to OMSI donors, sponsors, members, and patrons, and support events by drafting and proofreading communications, ordering materials, and attending events.
  • Financial Tasks: Process credit card payments, communicate with donors, and research prospect profiles to support the qualification of new and potential donors.
Requirements
  • 3 years of cumulative experience in an administrative/office position with increasing responsibility.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and talents in professional work environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with an organization's leadership team.
  • Experience working with and/or supervising volunteers.
