Job Summary

The City of Peoria is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Police Support Assistant - Records to provide clerical support to the assigned department. This role involves performing a wide range of routine to complex clerical duties, including records management, data entry, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, department personnel, and external agencies by assisting with requests for reports, documents, and inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date files, reports, and police records for the department.
  • Collect payments and fees for records and police-related documents and balance the cash drawer.
  • Perform various routine clerical duties, including word processing, data entry, and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus additional coursework (up to 1 year at a Community College or equivalent).
  • 1 year of experience in a similar position.
  • Full Police Department background check required, including polygraph and psychological exam.
  • Attainment of an Arizona State Criminal Justice Information Systems Terminal Operator Certificate within 6 months of hire.
