The Recreation Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Recreation Director with the design, execution, and oversight of comprehensive recreational services.

Position Highlights

  • Collaborate in shaping the nursing center's recreation initiatives by assisting in the formulation of program philosophies, policies, and drafting procedural guidelines, objectives, and goals.
  • Engage in the delivery of enriching activities for all patients/residents that foster creativity, intellectual stimulation, physical engagement, social interaction, and spiritual growth.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of volunteers for the recreation program, potentially overseeing the development and execution of the volunteer program.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, along with completion of the NAAP/NCCAP Modular I Course for Activity Professionals or certification as required by regulatory bodies, or one (1) year of full-time experience in a social or recreational program within the last three years in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and visitors.
  • Availability for evening and weekend hours as necessary.
